It takes a village, Folks!
Colton has had multiple medical appointments the last couple of weeks.
First, it was his eye appointment.
This is usually an easy appointment, until they put the drops in his eyes.
We have had the same eye doctor for a few years, which is super helpful.
But, turnover is ever-present.
We've never had the same technician.
But, they have always been exactly what he has needed.
Patient.
Kind.
Fun.
Supportive.
Ready to explain everything.
He and I had dentist appointments last week.
New dentist.
New office.
New people.
I was anxious.
They were outstanding.
Outstanding is not even a kind enough word.
They really were incredible.
He got to go to the treasure box TWICE!
Yesterday, he had to have a cavity filled.
This and shots is not fun for anyone, especially for those with disabilities.
They were extra-ordinarily amazing.
They were SO patient.
SO kind.
SO encouraging.
SO ready with laughing gas.
SO ready with a Disney movie.
SO ready with a weighted blanket.
He had all of his stuffed animals on his lap and handled it like a champ.
I am continually amazed at how aware of each of us Heavenly Father is.
We have had the exact people along our journey that we have needed at the exact time we needed them.
It takes a village and we have had the best!
