Three Out of Four & Them Babes

Kaydon got his driver's license on Monday.
Three out of four of my boys are drivers.
Kaydon is, quite honestly, the scariest of my drivers.
I avoid driving with him at ALL COST.
He is pretty terrible.
But, he can now get himself to and from work which is a saving grace to both Braxton and Mama.

Sunday, at the ordination, these babies were a hoot!
They always are, actually.
I gave Asher a little Hot Wheels car.
Apparently, he didn't want ANYONE to take it away from him.
No one!
At all.
Gosh, I love these babes!

Colton and I went over Saturday to watch them.
Any chance I get to watch them, I totally take it.
I cannot get enough of them!
Braxton came over right before bath time, which was SO helpful!
Neither one of the babes was wanting bath time, which is pretty unusual.
Braxton was the fun cousin for a minute so that I could get everything ready for bed time.
Their smiles, though.

Three Out of Four

Kaydon finally got his driver's permit. Seventh try was a charm!

I texted this picture to Randy on Saturday. He said, "Yikes." I said, "Rand! He really IS terrifying to drive with!" He responded with, "See above text!!"

Jackson and Braxton were driving when they were 14. We lived out in West Point and they would drive on the country roads and I never thought anything of it. Jackson is an excellent driver... like a 10/10. Braxton is not a 10/10. He is fast and adventurous and fast... really fast. He is like a 6/10. Kaydon is just plain scary. I'll leave it at that. Scary!

Three out of four boys are now driving in our house. And, August is on Wednesday which means it's the boys' birthday month. Colton is first up on Saturday!!

I'll Always Say Yes

While I was at the gym last night, Braxton texted me and asked if we could go for a drive. I'll always say yes when my boys need me. I told him I was leaving the gym and on my way to pick him up. He drove us around Layton and Kaysville. He is a good driver. Jackson is too. But, Braxton is a good manual transmission driver. Jackson refuses to drive a manual. We talked as he drove. The night was beautiful. As we were driving back, he pulled in to a cute little restaurant and told me he'd buy me a dole whip. He bought one and we shared it and talked some more.

I'll always say yes to my boys when they need me. I am SO blessed to be raising these yahoos. My every day is completely focused around them. I work hard for them. I work out so that I can work hard for them. I hope that my efforts with them will be enough.

Just Learning

Last night, Braxton drove he and I to Uncle Brandon's office, then he dropped me off at the gym - with the understanding that he would come back and get me when I texted him. So, when I was done with my workout and tanning, I texted him to tell him that I was ready. I had pre-paid for my protein shake prior to my workout and when I went to leave, the nice man at the nutrition shop was in the bathroom. I saw Braxton pull up and gave him the one finger signal (not flipping him off, but telling him one minute). Just clarifying. Then, all of a sudden I see him go by the front doors and I see the truck lunging over and over and over again. There was a guy in the lobby with me and another one coming in from the outside, laughing. I said, "That would be my 15 year old learning to drive a stick." The guys just said, "That is awesome. Completely awesome."

Oh, that Peanut of mine.

Driving me Crazy!

This boy has started driving with Mom and Dad. I am taking him to get his learner's permit on Friday. He is a hoot! He is pretty dang nervous about driving, which I think is a good thing! He is extra careful. It's one of the many benefits of living in the country! He has much less traffic, and more open spaces to practice in. His brothers are ruthless, though! They cannot shut their mouths about it and Jackson gets a wee bit frustrated... like he about explodes. I, personally, cannot wait to have another driver in the house!
