These Babes

I had these babes for a hot minute last night.
Their faces.
Their smiles.
Their little voices.
Their snuggles.
Their curiosity.
Their laughs.
Their loves.

This auntie stuff is where it's at!

These Babes

Carrie needed balloons, so she texted me and I met her at Braxton's work.
These babies!!
Asher was happy with all windmills.
Anson was happy if he wasn't throwing tantrums! :)
They are just the sweetest, most handsome, most adventurous baby boys and Auntie loves them SO BIG!!

25 Months & 22 Months

These boys, though.
They LOVE to be outside.
They LOVE to play with sticks and balls.
They LOVE their mama.
A lot.
Asher loves nursery.
Anson, not so much.
They LOVE to eat.
They still don't say any words.
At all.
None.
They still let Auntie hug and kiss them and squeeze their bum cheeks!
I hope that never ends!

Anson is a smiler and a laugher and an escaper.
Asher is a wanderer, an explorer, an adventurer, a risk-taker.

They both have my heart!!!

Keep Showing Up

I went to the gym Tuesday morning.
As I do.
As I was finishing up my Yoga, I noticed commotion.
A sweet elderly man who is at the gym every morning had vomited and passed out.
He was conscious again, but he and every single surface around him was covered in vomit.
Never in my life have I seen so much vomit.
Ever.
My mama instincts kicked in and I went to the janitor's closet and got rags and water and a mop.
I desperately wanted to clean him up before the paramedics got there.
But they were fast.

I spent a bit of time helping to clean up the area with the gym employees, then I headed home to get ready for work quickly.
My morning was going as normal until about 11 am when my brain got very, very fuzzy and I became confused and dizzy.
Numbness started in my left hand and was moving up.
Ugh.

I would be unable to drive.
 Barely able to walk.
Kyle came and picked me up and got me in bed where I went to Dreamland for several hours.
When I awoke, I was still tired but the fuzz and dizziness had stayed in Dreamland.

I didn't go to the gym Wednesday or Thursday, which puts me off my routine.
Going to the gym is my time.
It's my time to be strong.
It's my time to reward my body for being so awesome-sauce.
It's my time to listen to whatever music I want to listen to and to work hard.
For me.
Not going puts me in a bit of a funk.

Then yesterday, I got an email from my attending physician at IMC.
It was completed FMLA paperwork for 2109.
I always struggle a bit to read the wording.
'Neurological Disorder'
'Periods of extreme cognitive fatigue'
'Periods of dizziness, fuzziness, numbness, forgetfulness, inability to perform duties of any kind'

Those can sting a little.
But then I realize that I am SO BLESSED.
I have more good days than bad days.
I am working.
Yes, a few times a month I must leave work early to go home and just sleep.
But it's okay.

And today, I was back at the gym and feeling more like myself!

And, these two.
These were my Valentine's pictures.
These boys have my heart.
I remember holding them for the first time after I couldn't hold them for a while.
It was Heaven.
And everyday since then has been Heaven as well.

Weekend Wrap-up

My weekend was full of babies.
And I couldn't have been happier!

Asher and Anson got Auntie all to themselves Friday night!
No cousins there to help Auntie!
We made Valentine's cards for their mommy and daddy with handprints.
We kicked and kicked in the bathtub!
We did lots of snuggles and cuddles.
We ate a good nighttime snack.
Then the babies went night night and Auntie watched TruTV.

My Boys

I LOVE being a mama and auntie of boys.
Yesterday, Braxton hung out with Mama at work.
This kid is a hoot!
He got us Cafe Rio for lunch and cut his finger nails with the sharpest knife I've ever seen.
I'm not sure why these things surprise me anymore!
I will miss my kiddos coming and hanging out with me.
I will miss their boy-stuff that they do, i.e. cutting finger nails with a super sharp knife.

Asher is 23 months old!
He turns TWO this month.
That actually makes my heart break a little.
I LOVE his auntie kisses and his naughtiness!

Anson is 20 months old.
I LOVE his snuggles and cuddles and giggles.
I love when I get to the house and he grins SO big to see Auntie!

Colton is like a dang star shining brightly.
This kiddo is so happy.
He loves to take selfies with Mama.
He also loves getting his Starbucks coffee once a week!

Last Saturday morning, he and Kaydon got up at 5 am and went to the Bountiful Temple to do some baptisms.
These are MY kids.
How did I get so blessed?!
Kaydon was able to do quite a few of the baptisms.

This boy right here is LOVING Chile.
He is happy, healthy, safe and full of love and joy.
He is missing peanut butter and American food.
But, he is SO good.

I am just the luckiest!

Three Out of Four & Them Babes

Kaydon got his driver's license on Monday.
Three out of four of my boys are drivers.
Kaydon is, quite honestly, the scariest of my drivers.
I avoid driving with him at ALL COST.
He is pretty terrible.
But, he can now get himself to and from work which is a saving grace to both Braxton and Mama.

Sunday, at the ordination, these babies were a hoot!
They always are, actually.
I gave Asher a little Hot Wheels car.
Apparently, he didn't want ANYONE to take it away from him.
No one!
At all.
Gosh, I love these babes!

Colton and I went over Saturday to watch them.
Any chance I get to watch them, I totally take it.
I cannot get enough of them!
Braxton came over right before bath time, which was SO helpful!
Neither one of the babes was wanting bath time, which is pretty unusual.
Braxton was the fun cousin for a minute so that I could get everything ready for bed time.
Their smiles, though.

Weekend

I love me some long weekends!

I went to the gym each and every day.
Kaydon went with me Monday.
I love when he goes with me.
He is quite the entertainer.
He loves to go in the training room and do handstands and cartwheels and lots of other things that I don't do.
I made protein balls for the week.
I did my FB Lives.
I rested.
I colored.
I watched documentaries.
I watched football.

Monday, Asher was sick and needed his mama to take him to the doctor.
Auntie to the rescue!
Kaydon, Colton and I went to their house to play and snuggle Anson while Asher and his mama went to the doctor.
Anson is the smiliest little love bug that there ever was.
Asher is not a snuggler.
Unless he's sick.
Then he is all about cuddling!
He is so funny.
Hopefully, he'll be feeling better FAST!

Cheerios on the Table

Carrie dropped the boys off last week to go to her husband's office to get adjusted.
She brought the boys' nighttime snacks with them.
She got to my house at the same time that I got home.
So, I kicked my boots off and went right into baby mode.

I poured Honey Nut Cheerios onto the table.
Asher sat in the chair (well, he tried all of the chairs) like the biggest boy.
Anson did, too, for about 2.9 seconds, then it was straight up onto the table he went...sprawled out on his belly, digging in.

This is pretty much what went on for about 35 minutes until their mommy came back.

My boys were like, "MOM! You would have never let US do that."
I know.
And what?!

The Joy They Bring

These boys have brought me joy since day one.
But, since their biggest cousin left for his two year vacation, they have been my saving grace(s)!!

They have been so sick, which makes them more cuddly.
I hate seeing them sick, but I am loving their snuggles.

These are the outfits we got them for Christmas.
Their shirts say, "Silly Brother, But I'm The Boss."

Yes they are!!

Sunday Snapshot

This Sunday Snapshot looks a LOT different than what the plan was!
These two loves are so sick.
So, Auntie helped their Daddy to care for them yesterday.
Thus, no Sunday Snapshot of Auntie with her own boys.
But, blessed regardless.
