He's Off - Ish

A huge snowstorm, even by Utah standards, hit last night and this morning.
It took Braxton and Mia about an hour to get to our house.
Colton and I loaded in and headed to the airport.
Note: Braxton is an amazing driver in the snow! Thank goodness!

Jackson and Kaydon were there, in line.
Turns out the itinerary that the Church sent Kaydon was an "empty" itinerary, meaning there was no ticket attached.
Soni, the nicest man ever, was so much help at the Delta window!
He tried everything to figure out what in the heck was happening.
Then, he called the Church Travel Office.
Turns out, the Church changed his ticket to a United flight but never told us.
That flight had left two hours prior.

So, we headed upstairs to United where there was a huge line.
Jim, with United, was able to get Kaydon into the last seat on a flight that leaves TOMORROW morning at 6:15.
I was on the phone with the Church so they can let his mission home know.

At first, Kaydon wanted to just stay at the airport overnight.
But, he can't check his bags in or go through security until 4 am tomorrow.
That means he'd basically be standing against a poll with his unlocked luggage for 22 hours.
Jackson talked him into going back to the house and getting rest, then Jack will take him back at 4 am tomorrow.

Their dad, Braxton, Mia, Colton, and I said our goodbyes today.
Yes, I cried.
Yes, Braxton cried.
Mia cried.
Colton sobbed.

But, that kid is so ready to go!
