I know you can't buy them, or eat them, or use them... but they are my other guys and I adore them!
My guys were recognized at City Council on Tuesday for their work with snow plowing this year. It was a very rough winter. There were many days when my guys didn't get more than 4 hours of sleep in between storms. They were not with their families on Christmas day or New Year's Day. They weren't with their families for several weekends in a row. They never complained. They never became impatient. They just did their jobs.
Most of the crew leaders and supervisors were there to receive their recognition. I sure do love these boys!

Working Boy
Braxton had an interview with Lagoon last week. Uncle Logan and Uncle Skip hooked him up with an interview outfit. Uncle Logan told Braxton that he was going to look like a "Sexy Bitch!" And, he totally did!!!
Oh, and he got the job. I'll have two working boys this summer. It really is crazy how grown up my babies are getting. I am so proud of them!

Farmington Station Date Night
I informed the children that Saturday would be a delightful day of deep cleaning the house. There were eight major jobs that needed to be done, including shampooing the carpets, washing walls, cleaning the refrigerator, cleaning all three bathrooms, sweeping and mopping all tile floors, dusting including ceiling fans, removing ALL garbage from the home, and re-organizing kitchen cabinets. I let them know that they could each politely choose two jobs or mom would have them draw papers our of an envelope. The chose the politely choosing jobs. Everything was done by 1 pm!!
I told Jackson that he could choose their reward. He chose Farmington Station.
It was a beautiful night! The kids got some sugar for Easter and Jackson bought everyone a Fizz. It was perfection! I sure love these boys. I can't imagine what it will be like when they are grown and gone. I soak up these moments with them!

I love that my boys love their cousin and are thinking of him. I also love that I get to love on him so much! I love that we live close and that I can just mug on those cheeks!

Friday Favorites - 21 Days Closer
B Beck sent me a book. This book:
It is a book that challenges us for 21 days to be closer to Christ. I have decided to do 21 WEEKS of being closer to Christ. I am using it personally, where I set my own goal for the week ahead. I am also using it for our Family Home Evenings. Each Monday night, the boys gather 'round my bed and I read to them the next week's message and goal. We then pray about what we can do for the next week to accomplish the goal that we set.
It's an easy way for this very busy mama to insert goals, and more importantly spiritual goals, in to my family's lives.

Lots of Boys
I seriously love this picture SO MUCH! Kaydon's best friend had a birthday last weekend. His best friend is a girl. She is "perfect in ever way," if you ask him. And, she is. So is her family! Love them! Well, he earned money to buy her white roses. They were beautiful. I ran him to the store, then to her house to doorbell ditch her and drop them on the porch. I love that my boys are good to girls. I love that they think of them. I love that they respect them. I love that they treat their mama so dang good.

Be Nice!!!
You know how sometimes, we girls (and boys, too, but especially girls) say mean things to ourselves in the mirror. Well, be nice! Be nice to yourself! Our bodies are strong and useful and amazing. We need to say nice, kind things to ourselves. We are enough!

Baby Asher Update
Little Man is not sleeping so good at night. Auntie went and spent Friday night with him. He was fussy all night. He cried. I cried. We both cried. I have quite a few tricks up my sleeve... you know, after spending three years at Primary Children's with Kaydon... and after spending three years with a G.I. specialist in our family... but nothing worked with this little man. Auntie slept all day Saturday after going home. This little guy needs to start sleeping before his little brother comes next month!!

Kaydon & Bert Do Logan
On Tuesday, Bert and Kaydon took a little road trip to Cache Valley. Bert Baby had some antique dealing to do and Kaydon is becoming super versed in all things antiques! They went to several antique stores, then had lunch at the Blueberry Café.
These two are so great! They are like two peas in a pod. I just love them!

Pops, The Interrogator
Oh, Pops. Last week, I stopped by to check on the Nana. I had someone with me who I wanted her to meet. It just so happened that Pops was there too! Lucky B!!! Pops asked the following questions:
* Are you gay?
* Do you plan on having children with anyone that is not Heidi?
* Do you hit women and children?
* How do you feel about going to the car wash on the first date?
* Can you handle her???? She's sassy!
Cute B just laughed. He and Pops hit it off great. He answered all of the questions with the correct answers! Pops said, "She is my daughter, so I have to make sure to do my job!" I loved that so much! He was getting right in there, being protective! He and Nana are so funny and always make each other and everyone else laugh.
We sure do love them so much!!!!

Jackson's Road Trip
Jackson and Dalton have been enjoying Washington so much! They left Saturday morning at 4 am, after Jackson got off work at midnight on Friday. Jackson tells me it is so green there... so beautiful! Dalton's sweet mom, Teresa, is along for the ride. I love that these two have such an awesome friendship. I love that they get to have these adventures together. I can't wait for him to come home on Wednesday, though!!
