This
week was just a beast in itself! Missionary work this week was something
totally different entirely. Good and different.
Obviously
before that, I very much hope that you all had a great week! Not perfect by all
means, but good enough to say that you experienced joy through the grace of the
gospel of Jesus Christ!
Our
missionary efforts seem to be doubling every week. Balancing so many of our
friends (trying to help them progress), we went to the capital several times
this week as well for Elder Townsend to preform a musical number for the entire
church page (first a practice, then a recording, and next is the video portion
where they've asked me to say a few words about missionary work for the entire
world to see!) For those who still can't get an idea of Elder Townsend, one
more thing to know about him is that he is a very talented singer and can work
with any instrument without any practice!
Our
Ubers drivers have been a little on the crazy side too recently as well! Going
to the capital much we've been having to order Ubers and 3 of which have stuck
put to us. 1.) Ronni. Ronni is a Dominican with perfect english because he has
spent a ton of time in New York, apparently he is really rich at 40 years old,
has two children, one at 3 months old and the other at 23 years old, the
catch is that Ronni is 40 years old. He also really what's us to get ourselves
a girlfriend and go to college ( both of which he said he never had ) confused?
Me too.
2.)
Juan / Randolph. This trip was a kinds of crazy! Basically a member of the
church rented us an Uber so we couldn't track anything, and it was called for a
guy named Juan with a black Honda civic. Cool! Except for the cool part when a
guy in a white Honda civic pulls up and says his name was Juan. So we got in
not thinking too much of it, and kn the ride home we ended up teaching a lot
about the Restoration of the Church, he was super interested and we ended up
making him a new friend of ours, so we got his number, and after we again asked
for his name and he said it was "Randolph", Me, "woops, looks
like your covers blown there Juan". Yeah we basically got kidnapped and
taught him, the down side is that he charged 300 more pesos than the original
cost :(
3.)
Willy. Willy is an interesting case. First thing he did when we got into his
car was video tape us for 10 minutes on how good we really are, and told
anybody who watched the video to talk to us, and how Jesus is good. That was
all great but something about that whole drive from when we turned on the video
till I got home, my spirit completely left me. I didn't feel good or
comfortable. Others who know better than me say that it was okay to post but
something about it just keeps me from ever wanting to see that video be posted.
In the end, we told Willy that he could post it but we asked him to promise us
that the next time he meets missionaries that he invites them into his
home.
Other
than all of these experiences we're doing all good here! I hope this next week
improves for me and for each of you as well!
This
one was a bit more of story time, but I miss you all tons but love you all 70
times 7!
Elder
Jorgensen
KK didn't send any pictures this week, but I was able to grab these screen shots. We were able to get everyone but Colton on there! Of course, Lani was the star of the show. Kaydon lit up when he saw his sisters and his niece!
