Missionary Moment - Puerto Rico San Juan Mission and Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West

Raise your hand if your wondering,  not only where this week went but where the entire month of February went? It's a mystery to me!

How is everybody doing!? Thank you all for reading my emails, I try to keep them short, stocked, and powerful! I am also loving all of the emails I'm being sent, there best when I can apply your thoughts and suggestions to the field as I do my best each and everyday to improve.

My dear brothers and sisters this week there are no words to explain the amount of miracles and blessings and divine power that we've received this past week! It was a little slower in the beginning and didn't live up to fulfilling my purpose as a missionary as much as I would've liked but the grace of God is sufficient,  and when we asked for miracles, He provided.  Even cut off from the natural news of the world, yes, all that has been going on even reaches me put in the far west of my area where nothing exists beside wooden shacks and dirt roads where Domincans build fires to cook there food.

The world continues to grow unsettling and weary and some might even be a little scared. In the beginning of the week I know I sure was. For my loved ones, for the salvation of my friends (investigators), for the safety of those who are toiled with conflict.  All of this ended up rubbing off on me as well! It affected the stride in my step, the lessons I taught, and my unshakable faith becoming shaken.  However after I had a long talk with my companion, I will always remember that one kf the last things he said was that, "I can feel these things too, it's scary even for me and my family, but it wasn't long when I got an overwhelming feeling of.... it's all going to be okay.." and... he was right, thus the title of this email, God Among Us. That remains true in all circumstances, God our Father and His son Jesus Christ are actively working in every detail of the lives of every soul. With all that's been going on, and even more with each of you having a trial in your personal lives I promise each of you this.. It's all going to be okay.

Our miracles this week included getting henry baptized,  putting Paulino, and Altagracia on date for their baptism, once again exceeding our goals for new friends, church attendances of our friends, new baptismal dates, and amount of people baptized and confirmed. Each of these goals that we set was surpassed except a little under for church attendance.

This week, Elder Townsend and I are gearing up to work hard with members and are looking forward to some great success!

I'll leave it there for this week. I love you all, I pray for each of you, and look forward to hearing your responses this week!! Until next time!

Elder Jorgensen
